Match Review LS10 | Selangor FC 2-2 Kelantan The Real Warriors FC | Liga Super Malaysia 2025/26

Selangor FC secured all three points with a 2-0 victory over Kelantan The Real Warriors FC at the MBPJ Stadium in Kelana Jaya last night.

It was a fiercely contested match, with both teams exchanging attacks in pursuit of the crucial three points. Selangor FC opened the scoring in the 21st minute through Alvin Fortes, who finished well following an accurate delivery from Quentin Cheng. The Red Giants continued to push forward, creating several dangerous chances before Chrigor doubled the lead in the 54th minute. The visitors’ task became harder when Abdul Sesay was shown a red card in the 60th minute. Selangor maintained control for the remainder of the match, securing the win and moving up to fourth place with 16 points.

Head Coach Christophe Gamel expressed his delight with the victory but emphasised that there is still room for improvement within the squad.

“I’m happy with the three points, but I still expect more from the team. At times we lose control, and that’s  not part of our plan and needs to be changed. However, the players responded very well throughout the game. With only one day to prepare, the match unfolded as we anticipated. If we had been more clinical, we could have scored more goals. The most important thing is that we created chances, and we did that very well. Even so, there’s still plenty for us to work on,” he emphasised

The Red Giants will now travel to Thailand for their fifth Group G fixture in the ACL TWO 2025/26 campaign, where they will face Bangkok United FC at the Pathum Thani Stadium on 26 November at 8:15pm.

Selangor FC also wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the 4,237 supporters who filled the MBPJ Stadium, bringing energy to the match and joining in the World Children’s Day celebrations at the AKE Kids Carnival.
